BELGRADE 2024: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EUROPEAN AQUATICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
European Aquatics is pleased to announce key information about the 2024 European Aquatics Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, which will run from 10-23 June.
The flagship event runs for 14 days and will feature pool swimming, diving, open water and artistic swimming.
It will serve as a final chance to qualify for Paris 2024 with the qualification period for swimming ending on 23 June, the final day of competition in Belgrade.
The meet will be followed by the European Aquatics Masters Championships Belgrade 2024 which will take place from 26 June to 6 July, featuring the same disciplines plus water polo.
The European Aquatics Championships Belgrade 2024 will get under way at the Sports Centre Milan Gale Muškatirović which hosts the artistic swimming from 10-14 June. The open water will take place from 12-15 June at Ada Ciganlija, a popular recreational area situated on an island in the Sava River, near the city.
Pool swimming will run from 17-23 June at the Sports Centre Milan Gale Muškatirović with the competition pool available for training from 15 June.
The SC Tasmajdan training pool will be available on 14 June.
The diving competition will run parallel from 17-23 June at the Serbian Institute for Sports and Sports Medicine.
It will be the first time Serbia has hosted the European Aquatics Championships, a little under a year after they staged the European Junior Swimming Championships for the third time following 2008 and 2011.

Together we are pleased to welcome you all to the capital of Serbia – Belgrade.” European Aquatics President Antonio Silva added: “Great efforts have been made to ensure that the pools and open water facilities in Belgrade will give athletes the best possible environment to perform and ensure that fans, and millions of TV viewers around Europe, will be able to enjoy top class competition.
“This event is the biggest, and most important, in the European Aquatics calendar and its timing, a month before the start of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris will make it even more special.”
