IRRESISTIBLE DANCE IN THE WATER
Artistic Swimming is an elegant and creative sport that combines synchronized movements, acrobatics, and dance in the water. Agility, coordination, and stamina are vital to performing well in artistic swimming.
Artistic Swimming is a sports discipline that captivates spectators with its elegance, charm, passion, and precision. Swimmers move through the water like ballet artists, creating a hypnotizing visual spectacle.
By combining technically perfect movements, creative artistic expression, and a harmonious blend of music, artistic swimmers create a new visual world full of marvelous impressions and emotions before the eyes of the audience.
Artistic Swimming always brings to mind the wonderful Esther Williams and the movie “Bathing Beauty.” However, artistic swimming debuted at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, and alongside rhythmic gymnastics, it is a sport with only female competition at the Olympic Games.
At the European Aquatics Championships, artistic swimmers compete in solo, duet, and team performances, showing their skills, talent, and dazzling costumes that contribute to the impression in front of the demanding audience and judges.
In Belgrade, we will see 299 swimmers from 40 countries. Judges will evaluate the swimmers based on technical performance, artistic expression, creativity, synchronization, and interpretation of music, and the results will surely be uncertain.
Artistic Swimming combines individuality and teamwork, passion and dedication, and love for the water with artistic expression and aesthetics. At the European Aquatics Championships in Belgrade, we expect the well-known stars of artistic swimming to shine even more, but also some new names to appear who will create magic and enchant us with their performances.
